Karl Drais

Karl Drais (April 19, 1785 - December 10, 1851) was a German inventor and inventor of the bicycle, called draisine.

Karl Drais was born and died in Karlsruhe.

He was a democrat and did not use his title Karl Friedrich Christian Ludwig Baron (Freiherr) Drais von Sauerbronn.
