Katie Holmes (born December 18, 1978) is an American actress. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, USA.
She is best known for the role of Joey Potter on the television show Dawson's Creek. She has appeared in motion pictures such as: The Ice Storm, Disturbing Behavior, Go, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, The Wonder Boys, The Gift, Phone Booth, Abandon and Pieces of April.
