Ken Doherty is an Irish snooker player, who won the World Championship in 1997. He was nearly blinded in 2002 in a bizarre bathroom accident. His game is more tactically based than that of most other players, whilst being able to make big breaks, this has led to commentators calling him Crafty Ken. In 2001, he narrowly missed out on the maximum, 147 break.
Ken Doherty is also the name of a United Utilities network engineer, who works within the Construction and Maintenance Service.
