Kenai Peninsula Borough is a
borough located in the
U.S. State of
Alaska. As of
2000, the population is 49,691. The
borough seat is
Soldotna.
Geography
\nThe borough has a total area of 64,114 km² (24,755
mi²). 41,474 km² (16,013 mi²) of it is land and 22,640 km² (8,741 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 35.31% water.

2000, there are 49,691 people, 18,438 households, and 12,722 families residing in the borough. The
population density is 1/km² (3/mi²). There are 24,871 housing units at an average density of 1/km² (2/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 86.21%
