Konkan coast

The Konkan coast is the name given to a section of the western coastline of India, extending from Gujarat in the north to Karnataka in the south. While it extendes over three states, the people living along this coast have a lot in common, including similar languages and customs. Many people speak Konkani, a language related to Marathi.
