Kościerzyna is a town in Kashubia or Eastern Pomerania region, north-western Poland, with some 24,000 inhabitants.

Capital of Koscierzyna County in Pomeranian Voivodship since 1999, previously a town in Gdansk Voivodship (1975-1998).

The town crest is a bear, derived from the town's name Berent in Westprussia/Eastprussia in Germany.
