La Tène is a village near the Neuenburger See (a lake) in Switzerland.
It gave its name to the celtic La Tène culture, during the late iron age the La Tène Culture developed in eastern France, Switzerland, Austria and southwest Germany. It was the direct follower of the old ironage "Hallstatt-Culture".
