Lima, New York
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The hamlet of Lima, nineteen miles south of the city of Rochester, in Livingston County of New York State, contains four hair salons and no Chinese take-out. It boasts the usual small-town numbers of bars, diners, and antique stores as well.

The most significant day for the town itself is "Crossroads Day," The celebration involves myriad sales huts and a relay bed race.

"Lima" is pronounced like the bean, not like the capital of Peru. The town was originally named Charleston.
