The London Borough of Havering is a London borough in outer northeast London, near the border with Essex. It is rumoured to have been named from a contraction of the phrase "Have a ring". The principal town in Havering is Romford.

The London Borough of Havering was created in 1965, uniting the Borough of Romford and Hornchurch Urban District Council.
