Lord Polwarth

The title
Lord Polwarth was created in the
Peerage of Scotland in 1690 for Patrick Hume. In 1697, Hume was granted a second creation of the Lordship, along with the Earldom of Marchmont. Upon the death of the third Earl, however, the creations of 1697 became dormant (unclaimed), while the 1690 Lordship passed to Anne Anstruther.
