Marker often refers to a felt-tipped pen.
It can also refer to the municipality Marker in the county of Østfold, Norway. Marker has 3,319 inhabitants as of January 1, 2002.
It is also a term for a promissory note, credit slip, or IOU for (generally) a gambling debt, as in the Damon Runyon story Little Miss Marker.
