Marsworth
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Marsworth is a village in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located about two miles north of Tring, in Hertfordshire, six miles east of Aylesbury.

The village name is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'Męssa's enclosure'. It was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Missevorde though earlier (in the Tenth century) it had been referred to as Męssanwyrth.

The construction of the Grand Union Canal, that passes through this village, brought a lot of business this way and the village was greatly expanded as a result.
