Maverick Records is an independent record label (affiliated with Warner Music) that was founded by Madonna. Madonna does not actually do anything within Maverick, leaving most of the day-to-day business to her associates.
Its notable artists include Madonna, Alanis Morissette, Story Of The Year, newcomer Ben Jelen, Meshell Ndegeocello, The Prodigy and Michelle Branch.
