Japanese for 'Glasses Girl.' It's often used in American anime fandom to refer to women who wear glasses.
Meganekko are generally embraced as one of the milder fetishes in anime and manga. Unlike other popular archetypes and character 'fetish outfits' in anime/manga, being a meganekko makes no explicit presumptions about a girl's personality. However, it is common among hardworking students and avid scholars, who presumably ruined their eyesight reading all the time.
The anime series G-on Riders heavily caters to the concept.
The most famous meganekko in current American fandom is probably Yomiko Readman of the ReadorDie/ROD series.
