Mijailo Mijailovic (born December 6, 1978) is a Swede of Serbian ancestry who confessed to the assassination of Swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh.
Swedish newspapers are suggesting that he was released from a mental institution just five days before the killing of Lindh, that he has serious mental problems, and has previously been convicted of violent crimes.
Mijailovic is said to have been greatly angered by Lindh's staunch support for the US-led campaign against Serbia during 1999.
On January 6, 2004, he admitted to the police that he was indeed the murderer. The court trial against Mijailovic took place January 14-17, 2004.
