county located in the
U.S. State of
Mississippi. As of
2000, the population is 38,014. Its
county seat is

Geography
\nAccording to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,000
km² (772
mi²). 1,979 km² (764 mi²) of it is land and 20 km² (8 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.02% water.

2000, there are 38,014 people, 14,603 households, and 10,660 families residing in the county. The
