New Line Cinema, founded in 1967, is a producer and distributor of theatrical motion pictures. It is a subsidiary of Time Warner and it operates several divisions, including:

• theatrical distribution
• marketing
• home video

The current co-chairmen and co-CEOs are founder Robert Shaye and Michael Lynne. Recent New Line releases include:

• The Lord of the Rings trilogy
• Elf
• About Schmidt
• The Austin Powers franchise
