The Northern Ireland national football team is a football team in Northern Ireland, run by the Irish Football Association. Like the football teams for England, Scotland and Wales, the Northern Ireland team play in international tournaments.
The team was managed by Sammy McIlroy, who quit in late 2003. The position is still vacant. James Nicholl is seen as the favourite to take the job.
