During the liberation of the Falkland Islands in 1982, Operation Keyhole was a British special operation on South Georgia Island in the South Atlantic.
Special Air Service (S.A.S.) teams were landed covertly to observe Argentine activities. The harsh conditions on the island claimed several of these highly trained commandos. The commandos spotted the Argentine submarine Santa Fe in port; it was quickly disabled by British airpower
