Orhon River

Orhon River also called Orkhon River in old Turkish is originated in Hangayn Nuruu mountain range and filled in Lake Baykal. There are two ancient ruins along the river valley. One is Khara Balgassoun which is the ancient capital of Uyghur Kingdom and the other one is Khara Horin which is the ancient capital of Mongol Empire. Also archaeologists have found several Hunnic Imperial tombs in the river valley area.
