Oxford Brookes is a university in Oxford, England.
It shares a city with the world-famous Oxford University, and jokes abound that people only go to Oxford Brookes so that they can claim they studied in Oxford.
Although Brookes's admissions process is less rigorous than that of its neighbour, the university is generally well-regarded in Britain, and has pioneered modular degree courses which allow for unusual and exotic combinations of subjects, such as "Business Statistics and Clinical Aromatherapy" or "Ecology and Telecommunications".
