Peter Brown (born 1939) is a member of the New Zealand Parliament, and deputy leader of the New Zealand First Party. He formerly managed a stevedoring company and led the New Zealand Stevedoring Employers Association; he holds a sea captain's certificate.
Brown was nearly elected to parliament as a New Zealand First candidate for the Kaimai electorate in the 1993 election, entered parliament as a list MP with the 1996 election, and has continued as of 2004.
Also as of 2004, Brown serves as his party's spokesman on the issues of accident insurance, energy, labour, transport, and statistics. He has promoted the cause of voluntary euthanasia, including proposing a defeated bill.
