Peter Strauss (born 1947) is an American television and movie actor, best known for his roles in several television miniseries in 1970s.
He won an an Emmy Award for his role on the 1979 made-for-televion movie The Jericho Mile. He noted televison miniseries credits also include roles in Rich Man, Poor Man, and Masada.
He also starred in the 1970 film Soldier Blue.
Strauss also runs a successful citrus production business and is on the advisory board of the Los Angeles Arboretum. He donated a ranch property to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservatory. The ranch has since been acquired by the National Park Service as the Peter Strauss Ranch.
