Piatra Neamt

Piatra Neamt (population: 105,000) is a city in Neamt county, Moldova, Romania.

History

The city was inhabited in ancient times by Dacians and it was called "Petrodava". After the Dark Ages, it was mentioned for the first time in 1387. In the 15th century, Stefan cel Mare builds his Royal Court in this city.
