Places of worship in Hong Kong

Hong Kong counts approximately 600 temples, shrines and monasteries. While Buddhism and Taoism are the mostly practiced religions, most religions are represented in the Special Administrative Region.

Tin Hau temples

Around 60 temples are dedicated, at least partially to Tin Hau. They include:

• temple in the Tin Hau area, east of Victoria Park, in Eastern district, on Hong Kong Island. The temple has given its name to the area and to the MTR station serving it (Island line).
• 4 temples on Cheung Chau
• 1 temple on Ping Chau
• 1 temple adjacent to Kwan Ti temple in Tai O

Churches include

Central and Western district

• St. John's Cathedral, Hong Kong
• St. Joseph Church, Hong Kong
• St. Paul's Church, Hong Kong
• The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Hong Kong
• Union Church, Hong Kong

Monasteries include

• Ling Yan Monastery (Lantau)
• Lo Hon Monastery (Lantau)
• Po Lin Monastery (Lantau) - Buddhist
• Trappist Haven Monastery (Lantau) - Roman Catholic
• Tsz Hsing Monastery (Lantau)
• Yin Hing Monastery (Lantau)
