Plateau can have multiple meanings:
- In geography or earth science, a plateau is an area of high land, usually consisting of relatively flat open country. The Tibetan plateau is one of the most famous examples of this land form but there are many other examples of it from around the world.
- In physiology and human sexuality, plateau refers to the second stage (of four) of sexual arousal in the currently accepted Masters and Johnson model.
