Pohang (Pohang-si (포항시; 浦項市; "Pohang City") in Korean) is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.
The city is served by several trains a day from Seoul and is the terminus for a number of ferry routes serving the adjacent East Sea (Sea of Japan). Pohang's main claim to fame is that it is the home of Posco, one of the largest steel producers in the world.
