U.S. State of
Tennessee. As of
2000, the population is 16,050. Its

Geography
\nAccording to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,146
km² (442
mi²). 1,127 km² (435 mi²) of it is land and 19 km² (7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.65% water.

2000, there are 16,050 people, 6,448 households, and 4,752 families residing in the county. The
population density is 14/km² (37/mi²). There are 7,369 housing units at an average density of 7/km² (17/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 98.35%
