Porcia (d. 42 BC.) A Roman woman, she was the daughter of Cato of Utica; and the wife of Bibulus, then of Brutus. She committed suicide after battle of Philippi, reputedly by swallowing live coals. Introduced (under spelling Portia) by Shakespeare in Julius Caesar.
