Preity Zinta (born 1 January 1974 in Simla, India) is an Indian actress and model.
Earning a degree in criminal psychology, Zinta's career began as a model, television anchor, and commercial actress before breaking into cinema in 1998 with her role in Dil Se, for which she she won a Filmfare award (Best Female Debut). In 2003, Zinta starred in the hit Bollywood film Kal Ho Naa Ho.
