Production I.G. are an anime studio founded in 1987 and known for their stunning animation; frequently a blend of traditional Cel-style artistry and computer technology. They have also been involved in the making of videogames.
They rose to International fame animating such titles as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost in the shell and Patlabor. It later worked with studio Gainax on the anime FLCL (Furi Kuri), and has also created a TV series after the videogame Parappa The Rapper.
Recently it has begun to create original anime works, including Blood: The Last Vampire, a stunning mix of CGI and Cel-style animation; and Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade.
Production I.G. also did the animation scenes in the recent Quentin Tarantino film, Kill Bill.
