Provinces of Cuba

Cuba consists of 14 provinces, plus one special municipality.

Isle of Youth (Isla de la Juventud) Pinar del Río Havana (La Habana) Havana City (Ciudad de La Habana) Matanzas Cienfuegos Villa Clara Sancti Spíritus	Ciego de Ávila Camagüey Las Tunas Granma Holguín Santiago de Cuba Guantánamo

Cuba's Special Municipality is the Isla de la Juventud (Island of Youth), before the Castro Revolution known as the Isla de Pinos or Isle of Pines.

Historically, before the Castro Revolution, Cuba was divided into the following provinces:

• La Habana
• Pinar del Rio
• Matanzas
• Las Villas
• Camaguey
• Oriente
