Rabid is a 1977 film written and directed by David Cronenberg. Marilyn Chambers stars.
The story begins with Rose (Chambers) being seriously injured in an automobile accident. She is brought to a nearby research clinic where a botched attempt to use an experimental surgical technique causes Rose's body to mutate. The mutation results in her becoming a carrier of a disease that causes uncontrollable rage in its victims. As the disease spreads throughout the city, Rose realizes that it can only be stopped if she is stopped...
