Ramiro II of Aragon 'the Monk' (1075-1154), king of Aragon 1134-1137). Ramiro II was elected bishop of Barbastro, and became king of Aragon in 1134 after the death of his brother Alfonso I of Aragon 'the Battler'. He married Agnes of Poitiers and abdicated in favour of his baby daughter Petronila of Aragon in 1137, after marrying her to Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Barcelona.
