Rene Chalon (? - March 5, 2003) was a man killed by a bomb in his van in Paris, France. The 55-year old had a long history of crime. Chalon triggered the bomb when he started the ignition.
The motive for the killing is unknown. Police say the use of bombs in the Paris underworld is "rare."
