Riau

Riau is a province of Indonesia, located in the center of Sumatra island.

Riau is rich with natural resources, such as:

• oil and natural gas
• rubber
• palm oil
• fishes
• woods

Riau has many natural forests and one of them is conserved by the WWF at a small town called Rengat.

The capital city is Pekan Baru.

The Riau islands are part of the Riau province.
