Richard D. James Album is an album by Richard D. James, otherwise known as Aphex Twin which was released in 1996 on Warp Records. At about 30 minutes playing time, it is his shortest album, a fact which its creator explained by claiming that anything exceeding this playing time just overextended his listening concentration. It is singular in his later work by not displaying the usual split between dark industrial noise with breakbeats and the occasional quiet song and instead fusing the two, creatinng uptempo tracks with complex beats that give of a mostly positive atmosphere.
