From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Roy Williams, safety for the American football team the Dallas Cowboys (uniform number 31), was drafted as the #8 pick in the first round of the 2002 NFL draft out of the University of Oklahoma, where he played on a national championship football team in 2000. Williams has quickly established himself as one of the hardest hitting safeties in the NFL.

Roy Williams is the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill's 18th NCAA Men's Basketball coach. After averaging about an 80% win percentage at the University of Kansas, he currently coaches UNC's stellar basketball team. He is second all-time for most wins at Kansas, and third all-time in the NCAA for winning percentage. He received his 400th win in January 2003, while at Kansas, when his team beat the University of Wyoming. In one of the toughest conferences (the Atlantic Coast Conference) in collegiate basketball, he has emerged as one of the most dominant coaches.
