The Royal Engineers, or sappers are one of the corps in the British Army. The headquarters of the Royal School of Miltiary Engineering are in Chatham in Kent.
The corps is divided into several regiments, barracked at various places around the United Kingdom and Germany. The corps has seen action in all the major conflicts of the British Army.
There is a museum for the Royal Engineers at Gillingham.
