Saif Al-Adel (April 11, 1960) or 1963-) is believed to be a senior member of the Al-Qaeda and Egyptian Islamic Jihad.

Al-Adel, an Egyptian national whose real name is Muhammad Ibrahim Makkawi, is currently believed to the operations commander of Al-Qaeda. He was a colonel in Egyptian Special Forces before joining with the Mujahideen in Afghanistan to fight the Soviet invasion.

He is currently wanted in connection for several attacks including training the fighters responsible for the 1993 ambushing of United States Rangers in Somalia, 1998 Embassy Bombings, and the training of several of the 9-11 attackers.
