Sandrine François
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

French singer, Sandrine François, was born December 1980 in Paris. Whitney Houston, Tracy Chapman and Aretha Franklin were the artists she grew up with. Her passion for music made her wanting to listen to her idols all day. She decided to study music. After a difficult start, singing in several groups and doing lots of auditions, a tv-station discovered her when she appeared in a pub. She was invited to perform in a show of Mireille Dumas. This appearance opened new doors for Sandrine, and a record company offered her a contract. That is when she started working with Erick Benzi. In 2002 she was invited by French television to represent her country in the Eurovision Song Contest. Rick Allison, Marie-Florence Gros and Patrick Bruel wrote a song for her called Il faut du temps. She reached fifth position.
