• Sinope is a moon of Jupiter.
• In Greek mythology, Sinope was a daughter of Asopus and Metope. She was kidnapped by Apollo and taken to Paphlagonia, where she gave birth to Syrus.
• Sinope (Turkish: Sinop) is a city on the Black Sea, in the region of Galatia in modern-day Turkey.
• Sinop is a province in nothern Turkey with the same name as its capital.
