Sri K. Pattabhi Jois

Sri Krishna Pattabhi Jois, born on the full moon day of July, 1915, in Kowshika, near Hassan in Karnataka State, India, heads the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India. Jois was a student of S. T. Krishnamacharya, and is today the premier teacher of the Ashtanga Vinyasa style of Hatha Yoga.
