A hit song by Fountains of Wayne, Stacy's Mom is about a boy's adolescent fantasies about a friend's mother. It details his attempts to spend time with the friend, probably causing her to think he is interested in her, when in fact he only wants to get closer to her mom, in an ironic reversal of the Lolita story. This song became a hit partly due to the video, which features several comedic scenes in the boy's attempts to get closer to the object of his affections, as well as a number of his relatively innocent fantasies.
Stacy's Mom was one of the first #1 top songs on the iTunes Music Store.
