Stoneware
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Stoneware is a ceramic, used for making pottery. It is similar to earthenware, but the defining characterisitc is that stoneware fires to give a non-porus solid, while earthenware clays give a porus solid. Stoneware tends to be fired at slightly higher temperatures than either earthenware or porcelain, and is normally denser and stronger than either.
