Surfer Rosa is the Pixies' first full-length album, released in February 1988, released by 4AD Records. The album was recorded by Steve Albini. The cover art features a topless Italian woman, presumably a prostitute. The album was originally entitled "Gigantic," but it was changed to avoid misinterpretation from the album cover.
