Susita
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Carmel and Susita were fiberglass-shelled cars that were made popular in Israel during the 60's and 70's mainly because Government agencies were forced to buy them, thus releasing onto the market thousands of low-priced second hand vehicles. Although the cars’ style and finish left something to be desired (or, more accurately, became the butt of many jokes), their incorporation of Ford and Hillman engines made them relatively reliable cars which kept their value (low though it had been) for years. The manufacturing of these cars ceased during the 80's, and Israel has currently no car industry.
