Swedish Royal Family
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The Swedish Royal Family consists of a number of persons in the Swedish Royal House of Bernadotte, closely related to the King of Sweden, who are entitled to royal titles, and some of which are performing various ceremonial duties. Currently the family has these members:

Also the other sisters of the King are known as Princesses, but styled in a specific manner they are never actually called Princess of Sweden. This is because of their marriage to non-royal persons. (Whereas their male relatives in the same situation had been stripped of all royal titles - see Bernadotte af Wisborg - the case of the Princesses was substantially different, as at the time females were not entitled to succession at all.) They are:
  • Margaretha Désirée Victoria, known as Princess Margaretha, Mrs. Ambler. Born on October 31, 1934.
  • Désirée Elisabeth Sibylla, known as Princess Désirée, Baroness Silfverschiöld. Born on June 2, 1938.
  • Christina Louise Helena, known as Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnusson. Born on August 3, 1943.
