Techichpotzin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Techichpotzin was the daughter of the Aztec ruler Moctezuma II.

Once the Spanish Conquistadores had invaded what is now Mexico, the Aztec princess was baptized a Christian with the name Isabel Moctezuma.

Isabel was the sole heiress to her father's wealth, fortune, and was to be given a sizable encomienda. For these reasons, Isabel attracted many men looking for marriage. She married a total of five times, three of the men being of Spanish descent. From her three Spanish husbands, she bore seven mestizo children. Isabel Moctezuma became a devout Roman Catholic and ended her life peacefully. She is a perfect example of how the mestizo system worked because of the marriages to Spanish conquerors and the children she bore by them.
