Terling is a village in the county of Essex, United Kingdom, between the towns of Great Dunmow, Witham and Chelmsford. The village was mentioned in the Domesday book and, in 1991 had a population of 741.
Since 2002 it has been the location of the Terling International Trifle Competition, held each year in September.
